November... already?

Posted November 2, 2007

I can't be the only one who lets things such as blogs, laundry and such go 'just one more day' without tackling the task...Right? As I try to simplify and organize, I look at a list on my desk that says BLOG...a list started a few weeks ago, working as a net of some sort, catching anything that came into my mind that I thought "I must share this with someone!" I'm emptying the net now...some of it. Hope you enjoy.

What's up with the new AAA rule this year for Arkansas high school sporting events...the one that bans face painting and balloons? Maybe the balloons could pose a possible safety hazard if a fan tried to swallow it. Or stretch it over his head. But seriously. I see no harm. Only school spirit. Then again, this is coming from the girl voted "Most School Spirit" in high school. :)

The color of Gumby. Why is that such a rare color? I can think of only 2 other places I've seen it besides sitting in the 64-mega-pack of crayons untouched by 2nd graders everywhere. 1)Scrubs--the old skool ones that docs still wear and 2)Park Rangers' trucks. You see this color used for anything else? Let me know.

I wonder what percentage of people are allergic to grapes. There are allergies of all kinds, but think...they can't take the Lord's Supper (grapejuice), eat P.B. and grape jelly sandwiches, no raisins...

Driving to work on I-630 I see a blue balloon swerving, dipping around in the air. First thought? "That's kinda scary, like a horror movie where a kid just got plastered and all is left is his balloon. Wonder where that came from?" Then it kinda reminded me of that feather on 'Forest Gump'...making its way into the path of people at just the right time who are supposed to see it for some reason. I don't know. But that balloon...hmmmmm

I enjoyed Halloween-- joined lots of kids and their escorts during Big Booseum Bash...going to 7 museums in Little Rock. Riding the shuttle between each stop allowed me to see many costumes and many demographics--all enjoying the same thing. Kinda cool. Headed home to put on my costume and then, onto Cajun's Wharf. More great costumes. Marge Simpson, Houston Nutt, Wicked Witch of the West and a scary vampire stand out in my mind.

Me? "Unfortunate Zookeeper Barbie" Can't picture it? Look at one word at a time...then put it together.

It's November now and time to turn back the clocks. I always like this one better than "Spring Forward". They say we get one MORE hour of sleep...

In my case? One LESS hour to be awake to tackle that blogging and laundry and...

Man, just when I thought I was getting caught up...
