Project Runway, Finale Part 1

Chris is a designer.
Chris is nice.
Designers who are nice deserve to have a fashion show at Bryant Park.
Therefore,
Chris deserves to have a fashion show at Bryant Park.
I'd like to declare this logic unsound.
The third statement that designers who are nice to deserve to go to fashion week... People.. People.. I know that the characters on tv are fun and nice, but it is not personality that makes a good designer; it's what makes good tv. Let's keep this in mind.
But his laugh is so friendly and uplifting you say.
I D O N O T C A R E.
Sure Chris is talented, but fashion is about what's happening next and his work is a constant, < b>poor translation of what has already happened. His costume background allowed for some pretty amazing tricks (think Avante Garde collar), but also got him stuck in some ugly places (think the sailor dress he made for the overweight gone skinny woman). His work was in this purgatory between being a costume and being outdated-- between innovation and plain old and done. No place I'd like to be.
Thanks but no thanks Chris, you were fun to watch, bla bla bla.
NOW.
Who
is
excited
about
the
FINALE??
That'd be me. The peek I saw of Jillian's collection was all I needed to be reassured that my girl is going to do great.
I think Rami might be going a bit too far away from his usual Rami-ness. It seems as though he's picked up a few things from Jillian and Chris which is a bit disturbing...
Christian might have gone a little overboard with volume, we'll just have to see.
On another note...
I'm contemplating buying a skirt that's probably too expensive because it looks like something Jillian would wear. God, I'm creepy.
Favorite Tim Gunn moments:
Comparing Chris's confidence in his designs to getting used to the smell of a monkey house. HA
Saying the phrase "effin," which is probably as close to an expletive that Mr. Gunn will ever approach.
