The Arkansas Community Arts Cooperative will host Kinobe and Soul Beat Africa with special guest Velvet Kente's Joshua at 7 p.m. Sunday, July 12, at the ACAC Space, 900 S. Rodney Parham Road.
Kinobe has been performing Ugandan roots music internationally since the age of 10. He and his band, Soul Beat Africa, are on their first American tour having entertained audiences with their energetic shows in Africa and Europe for years.
The group blends African roots and world music using traditional African instruments, koras, kalimbas, adungus, endongos and drums .
Little Rock singer and composer Joshua of Velvet Kente fame will open the show.
