Trading Treasures Returns to Little Rock
Jewelry and purse sale to benefit Planned Parenthood

Planned Parenthood of Arkansas and Eastern Oklahoma will host its second biennial jewelry and purse sale to benefit reproductive health for the women and girls of Arkansas.

The sale is Friday, Nov. 6, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, Nov. 7, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Building on the success of the inaugural sale in 2007, Trading Treasures is adding purses to the inventory that will be offered this year.

“The sale will be highlighted by some special vintage and designer purses,” said Strauss. Trading Treasures will offer costume and fine jewelry costing from $1 to $300. Purse prices will range from $5 to more than $200.

The Planned Parenthood Central Arkansas Action Board has collected more than 1,500 pieces of jewelry and 500-plus purses. Women from all over the state have generously donated jewelry and purses during the past two years to be sold at the event. The board committee has spent six months cleaning, repairing and appraising the donations to get them ready for the sale.

Trading Treasures will be at Hillcrest Hall, 1501 Kavanaugh Blvd, Little Rock (Kavanaugh and Lee). Admission to the sale is $5, which can be applied toward purchases of $10.00. Cash and credit cards will be accepted.
