Mushroom Mania Workshop. Join mycologist Jay Justice and other members of the Arkansas Mycological Society for an interpretive walk along the Arboretum Trail to observe mushrooms and fungi in their natural habitat. Then, enjoy an opportunity to consume mushroom soup containing several of Arkansas’s varieties of wild mushrooms. There will be a presentation entitled “Edible and Poisonous Mushrooms of Arkansas” and a lecture on growing your own. The grand finale of the workshop is a mycophagy session where several different kinds of wild mushrooms are sautéed and available for all participants to taste. Space is limited and reservations are suggested. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., $10. Meet at the Visitor Center, Pinnacle Mountain State Park, pinnaclemountain@arkansas.com.
