Putting together a comfortable room on a budget can be a daunting task for those light in the wallet.
Good news is the metro area provides several venues to find affordable, interesting pieces to make any room shabby-chic. Rosemary Hallmark, 22, of Beebe relied heavily on flea markets, vintage stores and family hand-me-downs to decorate her bedroom.

“I think what makes my room really fun are the little things that I come across and really love, even if they don’t fit perfectly with the rest of my things,” she said.
This idea of bringing together old with new, mismatching almost purposefully, and keeping it cheap is at the heart of shabby-chic.
“I like organic style, but I also like to throw in things that add brighter colors and have a more modern feel, which makes my style more eclectic and all over the place. It’s all very reflective of what I like,” she said.
