Ivy Shaffer describes her style as “versatile, funky, edgy.” The 23-year-old cosmetologist from North Little Rock was spotted at the Taste of the Town event at Alltel Arena last Wednesday. She caught my eye because she was wearing a casual yet comfortable outfit that had been dressed up for an evening out.
Indeed, Shaffer said she had worn the top to work that day “and didn’t feel like wearing jeans out tonight, so I threw on the shorts.”
The top features a dressy enough placket that Shaffer doesn’t need a necklace, so her only accessories are a pair of black chandelier earrings with rhinestones and a black leather Chanel shoulder bag she purchased in St. Martin.
the look
Shaffer’s dark brown hair with auburn highlights is cut in short, choppy layers with bangs. Her smoky eyes are balanced out by a neutral lip color.
This black, sleeveless cotton top features a lace and satin neckline with buttons. She bought it at Gadzooks.
Her gray tweed shorts with black buttons and piping also came from Gadzooks. Shorts are very popular right now, and the tweed fabric of these shorts gives them a definite fall feel.
Shaffer’s black patent-leather high heels came from Dillard’s and dress up the outfit.
