Natalie Reis, 22, of Hot Springs embodies the relaxed, undemanding style of traveling in the summer. Just returning from a weekend trip to Minneapolis for a wedding, she grabs a bite to eat with her boyfriend before eventually heading home. She's wearing this outfit today "because it's really casual. It's one of my comfortable traveling outfits." The shorts keep her cool, while the light cotton sweater provides coverage for the shift in temperature between being cool inside and sizzling outside.
Reis has on a simple white tank with long jean shorts as a base — perfectly acceptable summer attire, but she adds a sophisticated wrap sweater to transform her look from acceptable to what she deems "very comfy-chic." The light cotton gray, nearly blue-gray, sweater is designed to be a versatile piece. "It can do several different things, but I just like it to hang down," and sometimes "throw it over a dress."
“I go for simple things,” Reis says. Her affinity for simplicity is obvious and advantageous. She could pair anything she’s wearing with a number of other outfits. Her most frequently worn pieces probably being her necklace and bag. Her teensy necklace with three little gold balls on a gold chain is remarkably delicate but has the power to soften the entire look with the tiniest of flash. “I’ve had it since I was a baby. Gold’s ‘in’ now so it fits the bill.” Her camel leather bag is just the right color to go with anything, every-day, perfect for her traveling needs. One bag for a whole weekend calls for easy packing.
On her feet, Reis wears yellow leather flats, a refreshing alternative to the flip-flop. Reis likes them because they are "Yellow, a summer color; super easy and flat." Reis asserts that she generally likes to have a "pop of color somewhere," in whatever she's wearing. Today, this pop is on her tootsies.
