Lauren Clark
Where are you from?
Nashville, Ark.
Where have you lived?
Nashville, Searcy, Little Rock (never lived outside of Arkansas!)
Where'd you go to school?
Harding University
Was it easy for you to pick major?
Totally. I fell in love with the whole ‘communications’ world when I learned what all it entailed. But I have enjoyed playing with cameras (still and video) since my childhood.
What has been your favorite job?
I love selling my Mary Kay and look forward to this new job as being my favorite for sure!
Worst job?
Straightening dressing rooms or mopping up vomit — not sure which was worst!
What's your dream job?
Being a National Broadcast news reporter and/or anchorwoman
When you were a kid what was your favorite toy?
“Little Miss Makeup” or my Rainbow Brite Land
Would you still like to have that toy today?
Oh yeah! But also I kinda have a grown-up version because I get to “play” with makeup every day with my Mary Kay customers.
What happened to it?
It probably got sold in yard sale.
Do you feel like a “grown up”?
Sometimes ... when taxes, insurance, financial situations come up. But not when I’m having fun.
If you could travel or live anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Travel? Cabo San Lucas or Rome. Live? I would probably still want to live “where the green grass grows” :) Why? I would love to travel the world and see the cool sites. We only have one life to live!
What kind of music do you listen to?
Classic rock, some alternative, pop and country
Best concert you've ever seen?
Lynyrd Skynyrd or Aerosmith honestly!
What is your most embarrassing moment or a funny story your family always tells about you?
Hmmm, probably something when I’m not around — so I’m not aware of it!
Do you have any pets?
No. I killed 2 fish in 5 months last year so I’m staying clear for now. I’ve been thinking about getting a kitty, but being an apartment resident and always “on the go” maybe it’s best if I just keep it how it is — me and my plant!
Do you share any of their personality traits?
Uhmmm...I guess we could talk about my plant here? So yes — we love drinking water and the sunshine! haha
Any hobbies?
I can get carried away on the Internet, reading, working out and...
Any food or cooking-related disaster stories?
Not so much. I wasn’t that girl who burnt the food and made the whole dorm stink in college. Or haven’t screwed up a special cake 5 minutes before a big event. Yet...
Do you have any interesting Sync-related stories?
Haha! Actually, yes. My introduction to Sync and the position I’m holding actually came because I was working for a competitor and asked why I couldn’t be part of the Sync staff ... the rest is history. Okay not really, just ask me ... but we better not write anymore here ;)
Why did you apply to work on this publication?
It’s a perfect fit for me and I am a perfect fit for it. I have the background, experience, freedom and enthusiasm to really do a good job here. Looking forward to what it brings -- and what I can bring to it!
